‘But you were always a good man of business, Jacob,’ faultered Scrooge, who now began to apply this to himself.

“Business!” cried the Ghost, wringing its hands again.

“Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, and benevolence, were, all, my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!”

For nine years until November of 2007 I was Executive Director of an AIDS service organization.

In August 2007 I started an MBA degree program.

Since I started the program I've kept this quote taped in the inside of my binder--Keeps things in perspective and gives new meaning to "the bottom line."

Although the photo is from the Allister Sims version of A Christmas Carol, I don't believe the full quote is used in the movie.

Thanks for sharing it.
